Behida Dolić

 
BIO: 
Behida Dolić was born in a small village in northern Bosnia in 1982. Due to the dreadful Balkan wars in the 1990s, Behida, along with one of her sisters and her brother, left Bosnia with many other refugees.  After a short stay in America, Behida decided to move to Florence, Italy for 2 years where she worked on her fine art degree. In 2003, she moved to San Francisco to finish her BFA degree at the San Francisco Art Institute. After graduating, Dolić apprenticed with a great milliner, DeAnna Gibbons, in San Francisco, before starting her own millinery business. Behida currently lives and works from her millinery studio in San Francisco.
